SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Discover

OBSERVED RESULT
The searchbox has a small visual bug in the searchbox (in the upright corner, cf screenshot).

EXPECTED RESULT
no visual bug

Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon 5.25.4

A few questions:
1. What font size are you using?
2. What global scale factor are you using?
3. What font DPI are you using?
4. Does the issue reproduce if you open Discover with English as the language?
5. Does the issue reproduce with the Search field in System monitor with either French or English as the language

thanks to your comment, i remarked that the issue does not happen on my external screen (it happens on my laptop screen). The only difference are the resolution : 1920 x 1200 (external screen) and 1920 x 1080 (laptop screen).

Thanks, I suspected as much. This bug has the same root cause as Bug 414266, which is in Qt, unfortunately.
