Created attachment 151048 [details] Wrong tooltip SUMMARY Setting a different shortcut for spawning Yakuake (in this case, my Insert key), does not change the tool-tip message for the Yakuake entry in the system tray widget. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install and launch Yakuake 2. Set shortcut to (in my case) Insert 3. The tool-tip in the system tray incorrectly mentions F12 as the shortcut to launch Yakuake. OBSERVED RESULT Tool-tip shows the wrong key for spawning Yakuake EXPECTED RESULT It should show the correct tool-tip SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 36 KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.96.0 Qt Version: 5.15.5 Kernel Version: 5.18.13-200.fc36.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 2 × Intel® Celeron® N4000 CPU @ 1.10GHz Memory: 7,5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 600 Manufacturer: CHUWI Product Name: HeroBook Pro
Does it show the correct shortcut after restarting Yakuake?
(In reply to Nicolas Fella from comment #1) > Does it show the correct shortcut after restarting Yakuake? Yup, clearly forgot to include that detail.
Confirmed. Yakuake listens to the shortcut changing and updates accordingly in https://invent.kde.org/utilities/yakuake/-/blob/master/app/mainwindow.cpp#L260 it appears that the signal isn't emitted by kglobalaccel though
Bug still exist on Yakuake v25.08.2 on Arch Linux x86_64 v6.12.53-1-lts + KDE Plasma 6.4.5. When I change the global shortcut for Yakuake, it still displays to use F12 on the info bubble (mouse over in the tasks bar)
