Description Alan Skinner 2022-07-28 15:15:30 UTC
This only pertains to the ACS and not the other color selectors...

I was experimenting with the "Show Zoom Selector UI" option in the "Behavior" tab for the Advanced Color Selector docker and ended up in a special kind of twilight zone. I chose the "On Mouse Over" option and when I moused over it the color selector zoomed up like it was supposed to. However, I decided I like it better in the default state. That’s when the fun began. Every time I tried to click on the ACS option box the color wheel zoomed up and covered the icon up. I tried popping the docker out and still was stuck with the zooming behavior. Finally, I sized the docker up so large that even when the selector did it’s zooming thing, it didn’t cover up the ACS option icon and I could finally set it back to the default.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. On a docked Advanced Color Selector click on the options icon in the upper left
2. In the Options dialog, select the "Behavior" tab
3. In the "Show Zoom Selector UI" dropdown choose "On Mouse Over"
4. Click OK and close the dialog box
5. Move the mouse over the Advanced Color Selector and the color wheel will zoom in as expected
6. Move the mouse to the canvas and back to ACS and try to click on the Options icon

OBSERVED RESULT
The selector pops out and covers the options dialog. I found it impossible to be fast enough to click on it

EXPECTED RESULT
The ACS would pop out but will not obscure the ability to click on the Options icon

I can Confirm this for the July 27th 5.2.0-prealpha (git 2b1c570f36) appimage on Debian 10.

The ‘Hide Popup on click’ option has no effect though its name suggests that is what should happen when you click to select a colour.

@Alan
You can always disable it by going to Configure Krita -> Advanced Color Selector, so I don't really consider it a bug as much, though it would be potentially a good idea to include the configuration button on the zoomed in selector.

@Ahab
"Hide Popup on Click" works but only in the "When Pressing Middle Mouse Button" mode. This is certainly a bug.
