SUMMARY In my current setup, I have a triple display output. Each screen has its own wallpaper. Randomly (sadly, I can't figure out how to make this reproduce consistently), one of the screens will have its wallpaper reset to whatever the default wallpaper is. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have 3 screens on the same computer / GPU 2. Put a different wallpaper on each screen (in my case, none of them were any of the "built in" ones and were imported from my Pictures folder) 3. Reboot several times OBSERVED RESULT On some of the times you start up, you will notice one of the screens defaulting to the default wallpaper. EXPECTED RESULT For that to never happen. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 22.04 (I also noticed it on 21.10) (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION All three screens are 1920x1080. All of them using AMD GPUs. I can reproduce this using multiple hardware as long as it does the triple screen display.
An enormous amount of multimonitor fixes went into Plasma 5.27; any chance you could check to see if this is still an issue in Plasma 5.27.4 or newer? Thanks!
