SUMMARY I think it would be a good idea to disable the navigation bar when the current file isn't saved. Having "Untitled" display two times (in the tab and the navigation bar) looks weird in my opinion.
Do you mean "hiding"? I don't think hiding would be a good thing, as then the view jumps on save and if you switch to a different document that has some url. Perhaps one can improve what we display there. One must see that not all people have tabs enabled btw.
Yeah, I meant hiding. I don't think the jump would be that annoying though, because the navigation bar isn't a huge part of the interface.
For me personally that jump would be very annoying, therefore I would really like (if we alter anything) a different solution then just hiding.
What about an option that lets people decide whether or not they want the navigation bar to hide itself? I think it's an okay middle ground.
I am not sure if that is not really over configuration. What would be the issue with e.g. just showing it without text if the tabs are activated, too, and visible?
That leaves a weird gap between the tabs and document, which I don't really like. What about making the "Untitled" text smaller and changing the color to gray, like when the file is saved?

I think that would make sense, perhaps we can just re-use the widget that shows the directory stack for displaying the untitled, too.
Should I mark this as confirmed now?
