See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** It's possible that this is related to the fact that I have an Nvidia card (GTX 1070) however it has worked in the past so I am to assume this a bug that was introduced at some point. I am using the latte-dock-git 0.10.6.r267.gb0885a17-1 from chaotic-aur as part of Garuda Linux. It works fine under X11 without software mode. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Switch to Wayland desktop 2. Start latte-dock OBSERVED RESULT Absolutely nothing. EXPECTED RESULT Dock should show up. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.18.11-zen1-1-zen (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.96.0 Qt Version: 5.15.5 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have attached the debug logs for when it is run normally and when it is run in software mode using QT_QUICK_BACKEND=software to start latte-dock. Please do not hesitate to let me know if there's any other information I can provide as this is a showstopper for me using Wayland and I'd love to see it resolved.
I can confirm that this is an issue present on my system as well when session is in Wayland. Gtx 1060 6gb
