using the same url in kioclient, the command never finishes `kioclient ls smb://user@domain@host` But the can be mounted by `mount -t cifs //host/home /mnt/tmp -o "username=user, password=pass, domain=domin"` dolphin --new-window smb://nas.chipwing.tech [ 0.000](43454)/(default) unknown: QSocketNotifier: Can only be used with threads started with QThread [ 0.023](43454)/(kf.kio.core) unknown: Malformed JSON protocol file for protocol: "trash" , number of the ExtraNames fields should match the number of ExtraTypes fields [ 0.025](43454)/(kf.kio.core) unknown: Malformed JSON protocol file for protocol: "trash" , number of the ExtraNames fields should match the number of ExtraTypes fields That's all, the UI still stops on loading
smb://user@domain@host is not a valid url -> https://i.imgur.com/dd5Yr4m.png Also For efficient handling of bug reports detailed information is key. Make sure to tell us: The KDE Frameworks and Dolphin version you're running The libsmbclient version installed The type and version of the smb server (e.g. "Samba 4.12.0 on opensuse 42" or "Windows 10")
I press enter accidentally, so publish the incomplete details SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.96.0 Qt Version: 5.15.5 And `kioclient ls smb://domain\user@domain` still stucks
Smb server is Synology DSM 7.1-42661 Update 3
Still missing the dolphin version and libsmbclient version :)
Dolphin 22.04.3 Don't know where to find the version of libsmbclient, but `smbclient --version` says 4.16.2
Alrighty. Since manjaro apparently doesn't provide builds with useful debug output and your versions all seem in order my only suggestion is to try without any domain nonesense. From searching the web I'd say your NAS doesn't actually isn't a domain controller and by extension any domain information you supply is ultimately unnecessary and can only get in the way. Try with only your user name. If that doesn't work, we can't really help you.
