STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use `pgrep kactivitymanage` to ensure it is running
2. Check `journalctl -b --grep "Aborting shell load"`
3. See error

OBSERVED RESULT
plasmashell[882]: Aborting shell load: The activity manager daemon (kactivitymanagerd) is not running.
plasmashell[882]: If this Plasma has been installed into a custom prefix, verify that its D-Bus services dir is known to the system for the daemon to be activatable.

Note: plasma runs and loads just fine

For me, this happens a lot and sometimes the windows menu is missing the switch to activities action entries.
