Description audioprof2002 2022-07-06 21:46:16 UTC
Icon Only Taskbar + Application Dashboard with Transparency
is the prefered Method for people coming from Windows8.1
and hate W10.

$ systemsettings5 --version
systemsettings 5.22.5

Kubuntu 21.10
$ uname -r
5.13.0-52-generic

OpenGL 3.1
Panel Height: 98
FullHD

Icons-Only Task Manager Settings
Appereance
Colums
Rows

makes no sence, and is near useless.

In Windows8.1
Icons are Closer to each other, ther is less space surrounding the Icons,
and are arranged like a Text/Word Processor.
[123456789]
[ABCDEFGHI]
[etc....]

in Kubuntu Icons are too separated from each other,
and are arranged in a vertical way that makes No sense.

also Preview Window Mouse Click only works for the Top Row.
there is No lag in the 2nd or 3rd row,
i can see preview, but i cannot move the mouse and click the preview window of the 2nd or 3rd row.

The only useful setting is 1 Row of Large Icons,
but when Icons get outside the Taskbar,
are unreachable with the Taskbar.
Only Alt+Tab

2 Rows does Not work, unless: [X] always is clicked,
and that creates small icons when there is 3 rows, and Panel Height settings,
because empty space between icons is too large.

There is No way to adjust Empty space between Icons in the Taskbar.

1 Row of Large Icons could work if had [>>] button to move when icons are outside the taskbar visible area.
and [<<] appears automatically on the Left side,
Control+Click [<<] or [>>] jumps to the extremes.

OR... have the option to do it: [X] Vertically.
[^][v]
jumps entire taskbar up & down, could be even better.

and [X] both...
here is windows8.1

If speed is slow, redirect to other mirror:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/
or Open in LBRY or FastLBRY-GTK
there is No other way.

Later will upload Kubuntu 21.10 but looks similar. .

This Needs serious re-work,
it feels very raw, incomplete, rough, coarse,
uncoocked.
barely cooked,
like when meal cools down.

Thanks for the bug report! Unfortunately it's hard to tell what bug this is reporting. Can you please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Issue_Reporting and file a new bug report that describes a single discrete problem or suggestion? If you would like to report multiple issues or suggestions, please open multiple Bugzilla tickets.

Thanks again!
