That means the file is somehow corrupted. You can try to fix it using ziprepair: rename the .kra file to .zip and let ziprepair (google for it) try to repair the file, then rename back to .kra; but if something has really damaged the file that might not work. Please consult https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/autosave.html on how to mitigate the risk that your system damages Krita files so they cannot be opened anymore.
