> But okular regularly crashes, even if I don't do anything

What does this mean?
Comment 2 Pierre David 2022-06-28 05:25:35 UTC
It means that on an idle machine, okular crashes sometimes. I am sorry to have no more information, nor any way to reproduce this inconsistent behaviour.
Comment 3 Albert Astals Cid 2022-07-01 20:51:45 UTC
that's really strange, do you have a backtrace for those "idle" crashes?

About the one for reloading on pdflatex, can you reproduce it?
Comment 4 Ömer Fadıl USTA 2022-07-03 13:26:44 UTC
@Pierre : Could you share the related pdf file ( which you hit the bug ) with us (if it isnt something personal or private )

@Albert Astals Cid : I am just guessing that maybe just maybe ubuntu's systemd-oomd settings might causing this
idle thing, something might cause huge memory allocation and oomd is killing okular to give system more resources
[If i am not wrong ubuntu is only setting 1gb swap area and oomd's misconfigured for this settings which generally
kills randomly applications]
