STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Open the grid effect
2.  Move some window to a VD on another screen

OBSERVED RESULT
It may happen that the window won't be placed on the target screen / VD but ends up on the corresponding VD where it originated from.

5.27.2: When clicking on the window in the effect, after dragging it to other screen and ending up on the original screen and the corresponding VD, the effect closes and the window is actually on the expected screen and VD.

Can confirm that it's still happening in Plasma 6.0.3 on TW.
