Description Spyros Angelis 2022-06-24 13:45:59 UTC
SUMMARY
The default shortcut (Ctrl+w) for the overview effect does not close the overview when the keyboard layout is a non-Latin one, such as Greek, or Cyrillic (i.e. Russian or Bulgarian). Instead it types the corresponding "w" character in the search box.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. change to a non-Latin keyboard layout such as Greek, Russian or Bulgarian.
2. Press Ctrl+w to open the overview effect. The overview appears.
3. Press Ctrl+w again to close the overview effect.

OBSERVED RESULT
Instead of the overview to get closed and return to desktop, the selected language's corresponding "w" character is typed in the search box.

EXPECTED RESULT
The overview should get closed and return to desktop.

Are you on X11 or Wayland? If you're on X11, does it work on Wayland?
