STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open Kdenlive
2. import video file (.mp4) either drag and drop or using file menu
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
Kdenlive crashes

no crash

Here is the output of the crash from Konsole when Kdenlive is started from there. In this case, it's a .mkv file.
