Description okudono 2022-06-21 20:28:48 UTC
SUMMARY
***
This bug only happens when using the touchpad (double click, full screen button, and your custom touchpad gestures to maximize or enter full screen)

Then using any **touchpad actions** of the above mentioned  the window of gwenview flickers as if trying to enter **full screen mode/maximize** but it never does.

The only way to properly maximize/enter full screen is to use keyboard shortcuts or to simply use the titlebar buttons (close,**maximize**,minimize, and more if you customize your titlebar buttons)

This only happen when the image is just bigger in resolution than your opened gwenview window. Meaning that you'll have to manually resize the window for this to not happen. But, guess what? We all have many images/photos of different resolutions. Then this becomes useless fix. You'll have to create a window rule with a desired window size of your choice.

only by pressing **F**  and entering **100% view mode**  you can freely use use your **touchpad actions**. you'll have to do this for every image that has way to much resolution

or else just press **Meta+F** and search your galleries like that, though inconvenient fix if you want to resize your gwenview window

Pressing **Escape** to exit full screen doesn't work (produces the same visual buggy behavior). You have to press **F** before trying press **Escape* to exit full screen

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Either directly open an image or open gwenview alone.
2. Travel to/Select an image with higher resolution than your screen
3. Try to double click on the image for full screen or click on the full screen button, or use your custom touchpad gestures. Mine are swipe 3 finger up for maximize

OBSERVED RESULT
You'll see that gwenview window **tries** to go full screen.
All this doesn't happen on X11 session

EXPECTED RESULT
it should go into full screen and exit full screen normally without any visually buggy behavior

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Graphics Platform: Wayland
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.94
Qt Version: 5.15

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 okudono 2023-03-04 20:02:36 UTC
This bug got fixed in later versions of plasma, I don't know which versions did fix it though.

Now Gwenview windows cannot be Resized to a small window not even by dragging them to the corners of the screen.

Well, its better than seeing visual bugs, I can get used to it. C:
