Hello,
The number of items in the history is hardcoded:
https://invent.kde.org/graphics/okular/-/blob/master/shell/recentitemsmodel.h#L60

I regularly need to consult a set of PDF e-books but they quickly disappear from my history due to me opening PDF from my daily browsing. I'd be helpful to have a longer list or an option to adjust the number of items.
