Description Mark S 2022-06-19 20:03:21 UTC
SUMMARY

The Present Windows feature (default shortcut `Ctrl+F9` for current desktop, `Ctrl+F10` for all desktops) has a search feature that lets you show only windows that match the search (e.g. typing "firefox" will show only Firefox windows). Prior to 5.25.0, the search applied across all monitors; however, now it only searches on the monitor where the mouse is currently present.

ANECDOTE

While this doesn't seem like a major issue, I cannot express how much this breaks the main way I navigate my desktop. If this is intended behavior in 5.25, I would like to petition a change back to the old system. If this is not intended behavior, I would like to request a fix. If I were familiar with C++ I would provide the changes necessary.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux: 5.18.5-arch1-1
KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.95.0
Qt Version: 5.15.5
