Description Paul Worrall 2022-06-13 18:46:13 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Go to the File Search KCM, choose "Start indexing a folder" and navigate to a folder on an smb share, e.g. "smb://server.local/music/David Bowie"

OBSERVED RESULT
The KCM adds the folder "/", and this is confirmed by "balooctl config show includeFolders"

EXPECTED RESULT
If baloo is able index a remote folder then the KCM should configure it properly; if it can't, the KCM should not allow selection of a remote folder.

Quite true. We should probably warn the user in this case or lock out remote locations if possible, since the fact that they aren't indexable is an implementation detail that's not obvious.
