First at all 5.18.90 is very old.

I Laurent and thank you for your answer.

It happens on all messages, on all accounts (I have two IMAP accounts), on all folders. It has been working without any issue before that for weeks, until I noticed the issue today (It may have stopped working yesterday).

I'm using Kmail through Kontact, on Kubuntu, installed via apt:

> cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=21.10
DISTRIB_CODENAME=impish
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 21.10"

> sudo apt-cache policy '*kmail*'

Let me know if I can provide any additional information

I tried to upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04, the Kmail version is now slightly higher:

> kmail --version
kmail2 5.19.3 (21.12.3)

But the issue is still here
