Description Fab Stz 2022-06-11 07:44:50 UTC
Since 31/05/2022 it is no more possible to check the email of my gmail account using POP3. Fix would be to move to XOAUTH2 authentication method, but it is not available for POP3 resources.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create POP3 account in kmail
2. Change the Authentication method in the settings

OBSERVED RESULT
XOAUTH2 is not available in the list

EXPECTED RESULT
XOAUTH2 is expected to be here. Google seems to support it:
https://developers.google.com/gmail/imap/xoauth2-protocol

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian stable (bullseye)
Kontact: Version 5.15.3 (20.08.3)
KDE Frameworks 5.78.0
Qt 5.15.2 (construit sur 5.15.2)

You can use an application password meanwhile https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en

Application password is not possible on my gmail account (it would require to enable 2FA)
