Description Rolf Eike Beer 2022-06-08 05:19:24 UTC
Since I upgraded my openSUSE 15.3 to Plasma 5.24.90 the positions of the applications open at logout are not saved/restored anymore. Happens all the time.

My Laptop runs Plasma 5.24.5 on Tumbleweed and does not show this problem.

Are you using the Wayland or X11 session?

Are you talking about their positions on screen, or which virtual desktop they're on?
Comment 2 Rolf Eike Beer 2022-06-09 05:33:10 UTC
No bugreports before being really awake.

The virtual desktops are not restored, not even the screens: I always have Dolphin on the left one, but it is started on the right one. Also the activities the windows are on are not restored.

All my hosts use X11.

Thanks, that makes it Bug 442380.

If you disable Plasma's systemd boot feature, it may start working again. To do so, run `kwriteconfig5 --file startkderc --group General --key systemdBoot false`
