after resuming from suspend (at least I think computer is actually suspending) the touchpad is disabled. I get a message at login screen that touchpad is disabled. I can not go to settings and enable nor can I use modprobe psmouse to enable. If I restart the computer the touchpad will work again until I suspend/resume.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Close lid and open lid to suspend and resume.
2. use menu to suspend session then click a key to resume
3. Shutdown and power on to test touchpad.

OBSERVED RESULT

Touchpad message at resume says touchpad disabled. Touchpad remains disabled at login. Tried sudo modprobe -r psmouse , sudo modprobe psmouse with no effect. message give = FATAL: Module psmouse~ not found in directory /lib/modules/5.15.0-35-generic

EXPECTED RESULT

Touchpad works when in session!
