SUMMARY When connecting an MTP device, KDE automounts it, even though in the settings it tells it not to. In "Removable Storage" -> "Removable Devices", there's an option to uncheck Automount Device - but it seems to do nothing, and my phone doesn't even show up in that list (even though it's automounted). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect a phone to the computer via USB in MTP mode. 2. Open System Settings and navigate to "Removable Storage" -> "Removable Devices" 3. Note that the phone isn't listed, even though it's been automounted 3. Uncheck automount on attach for all known devices and apply 4. (Optional) Navigate in "Removable Storage" to "Digital Camera" 5. (Optional) The phone is listed there as a camera - remove it. 6. Reconnect the phone OBSERVED RESULT It still automounts, and if it had been removed as a camera, it'd show up again once reconnected. It seems there's no way not to automount the phone. EXPECTED RESULT The phone should be listed in the Automount device list, and it should not automount on attach if that option is not checked.
