SUMMARY Cursor themes fail to install and the installer generally behaves strangely. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Cursors in System Settings 2. Install any Cursor (I chose Kaiz's Pokemon Cursor, in the tar.gz) 3. (Close the window?) OBSERVED RESULT Cursor does not show up properly and instead shows Breeze cursors as its preview. Selecting it shows no available sizes. Applying it does nothing. EXPECTED RESULT Cursor should show up with each of its proper previews. Selecting it should show available sizes. Applying it should work. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon Testing Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.95.0 Qt Version: 5.15.4 Kernel Version: 5.13.0-41-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This was also tested on Fedora (on Wayland) and the themes initially did not appear to install, may have installed on the second attempt, and were generally very glitchy and delayed in transitioning. While playing around with this on Neon 5.24.90, after closing System Settings, I can no longer reopen it. Oops. I installed about 3 themes before this happened, closed and reopened after first failed. Unsure if the break is connected.
Did you install from a local file, or using the downloader window?
My bad, yeah it was Get New Cursors. Installing from file seems to work flawlessly.
Works for me with current git master. I recall some recent fixes in git master within just the past few days; could you install all available updates and try again?
Installed updates, but can't exactly restart the live USB to get the full picture. It does appear to be working properly on install, but the scales do not seem to register until System Settings is closed and reopened. I used Pokemon and Bibata Bee as test installs, known to have many scales. That would be a separate bug. :) Can you report it separately? Thanks!
