OSK covering view

SUMMARY
The on-screen keyboard covers the login prompt

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open NeoChat
2. Tap on the Text box

OBSERVED RESULT
The on-screen keyboard appears, covering the textbox and thus everything one types.
See attachment.

EXPECTED RESULT
When the on-screen keyboard appears, the view should be adjusted and scroll down

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Android: 7.0
NeoChat Version: 22.04
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.94.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Comment 1 Jan Bidler 2022-07-13 12:09:51 UTC
This somewhat regressed with 22.06.
I used to be able to still scroll down and see what I type. Now I cannot do it anymore, and I essentially have to type blindly.

Looks like there is code in kirigami that's supposed to fix this already; It not working seems to be a combination of bugs in Kirigami and unexpected behavior/bugs in qt

Android keyboard covering chat

This is probably a wider issue of the functionality to shrink the window to make space for the keyboard not working on android. The keyboard always overlays even in chats

So for whatever reason this seems to have resolved itself in the latest nightly. There are no issue for me on login or in the timeline space is now allocated for the keyboard.

Is anyone else still seeing this?

So further testing on the current nightly and this is still happening on the login screen I was just lucky enough to have a tall enough screen to make it not cause me problems in portrait mode. Its only the chat that is fixed
