SUMMARY
Hey guys,
it would be nice if the energy applet showed the option to change the system's behavior, e.g. a battery saving mode, underclocking CPU/GPU and reducing the display brightness, a balanced mode (normal) and a performance mode with more aggressive clocking.
This would give the users the opportunity to decide on their own, whether they prefer battery life or performance, based on the current situation.

This already exist in form of integration with power-profiles-daemon. It may require support from the hardware though
