Description Tobias G. 2022-05-30 23:09:39 UTC
SUMMARY
Hey there,

it would be nice if Plasma supported unlocking the screen/logging in using face unlock, similar to how fingerprint unlock works.
This could either only work with infrared-cams or with "Normal" cams as well, though they might not be as secure.
Executing root commands should also be possible using it.

Hey Tobias, you might want to check out Howdy

Hi, thank you, I already heard of Howdy. :)
Unfortunately, it doesn't have a graphical interface for setup, requires manual configuration and users have to search for it manually.
It would be way more convenient if KDE included this natively.

Aleix started working on this a while back but got stuck on some upstream issues IIRC. Maybe they're fixed now.
