SUMMARY Hey guys, whenever I put my PC in hibernation, the screen turns off for a few seconds, then turns on again with just the lock screen clock and mouse cursor visible to then turn off again and actually go into hibernation. The screen shouldn't turn on again though, but should stay turned off. This might not be a wayland-specific bug. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. start wayland session 2. start hibernation mode 3. observe screen OBSERVED RESULT screen turns on again for a short time EXPECTED RESULT screen stays turned off SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.94.0 Qt Version: 5.15.4 Kernel Version: 5.17.9-1-MANJARO (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 6 × AMD Ryzen 5 4500U with Radeon Graphics Memory: 7.2 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD RENOIR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Thanks for the bug report, I can observe the same problem - both on Wayland and Xorg. As this is most likely a bug in the kernel, I opened an issue with amd: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/2038 Please add your information there. Thanks!
