SUMMARY Fall Apart effect flashes at the end of animation STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Switch to the Wayland session 2. Enable the "Fall Apart" effect 3. Open and close some windows OBSERVED RESULT After the animation finishes with the window being broken into pieces, it flashes one more time allowing you to see the exact window that you closed for a very short period of time EXPECTED RESULT The Fall Apart effect works normally with the window breaking into pieces without flashing it again SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.95 Qt Version: 5.15.4 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION From: neon-testing-20220524-1822.iso + all updates from Discover Tested on Wayland
I think I found a way to make it even worse. If the window that you close was in fullscreen mode it will just flash for a moment at the end of the animation as I said above. But if you keep the window as it was when it opened first time or restore it from fullscreen one to the windowed mode, then close it and immediately move the mouse left right or in a circle where the window was positioned, you can see it flicker again. In my case I can see it flicker again as soon as I move the mouse. If I stop it disappears and if I move it again it starts flickering gain. If flickers frequent enough that I even tried to click on its close button, but it doesn't work or click and drag the title bar. Clicking also doesn't stops it to flicker, but if I drag a selection rectangle on the desktop, the it stops and disappears completely.
