Gwenview freezes while opening an image file (jpg) from an external drive
***
The program completely freezes, and the user has to kill the window manually. This has happened all times to me whenever I was trying to open an image from an external drive (either USB flash drive or an SD card). Image files are fine: if I copy the files first to the local drive, Gwenview successfully opens them.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Dolphin and navigate to some folder with images in JPG format from an external drive.
2. Open some image using Gwenview.

OBSERVED RESULT

Gwenview shows the image, but it completely freezes.

EXPECTED RESULT

Gweview would show the image, and the interface should be responsible.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 John 2023-09-29 05:50:09 UTC
If there's even a tiny error on any drive (internal, separate "/" and "home", external) KDE will freeze, incl. Gwenview (confirmed). Will not happen when you access photos on your external drive with suckless (nxiv).
