SUMMARY When moving applets/widgets in the panel, it starts lagging (animation is very slow and everything else freezes) like there is a sleep method is executed in the main thread. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Move a widget outside the plasma panel. 2. Reopen edit mode. 3. Try putting the same widget back into the panel. OBSERVED RESULT System freezes, lags. Can you upgrade to the Plasma 5.25 beta and see if the issue is fixed in that release? We did a lot of code cleanup for the panel.
