STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run under wayland
2. Launch a windows app via wine
3. try to drag and drop content to that windows app

OBSERVED RESULT
open dragged content into app

EXPECTED RESULT
Nothing happens

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
when opening app via terminal i can see these lines of code display when i try yo drag and drop

this line is spammed tons of times as you move the mouse across the app
0118:fixme:shell:IDropTargetHelper_fnDragOver (0000000013236210)->(000000000011ED18 0x00000000)

and this one shows once when you try to drop
0118:fixme:shell:IDropTargetHelper_fnDrop (0000000013236210)->(00007F8EF4484F08 000000000011EBE8 0x00000001)

Are you using Wayland or X11?

Wayland. When I tested in x11 the issue was not happening

Thanks, moving to KWin. Though this may be a WINE issue. Hopefully the KWin developers can tell us or help track it down.

Do you have scaling enabled? 

If so can you confirm if this is fixed in 6.1
