Description rezad1393 2022-05-24 07:16:31 UTC
I have a laptop that supports battery charge level limit.
I use it and set battery max charge at 60.

when I use battery applet and set it to show when relevant it is always shown even when battery is at 60 (59% after battery degradation )

can I somehow make the applet understand that 60 and charging is the intended state and now show battery?

another approach would be to only show battery applet for 5 seconds (maybe with popup too) when events occur.
like charge starts and stops (power connect and disconnect) and low battery and battery full.

1. What Plasma version are you using?
2. Can you attach a screenshot of the Battery & Brightness popup?

And as per usual some more things. Please post screenshots of the following:

- open of Plasma Engine Explorer with "powermanagement" data engine selected,
  request/update all the batteries data sources and expand them in the tree view;
- open power management settings where the charge threshold is configured.

Thanks!

I installed that and opened it.
maybe the issue is that my laptop threshold is configured manually from terminal (and internally handled by laptop HW and not os) so battery applet sees that threshold as 100.

about the screenshot
I have wayland installed and I cant take screenshot with ksnip.
if there is another way.....

I use this to set it.
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/batterycm-switcher
and it only has on and off at 60% level.

You can use Spectacle.
