SUMMARY
Firefox uses beeze dark cursor while the settings have breeze light cursor applied in wayland.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Change cursor to breeze light apply it
2.  open firefox
3. notice the cursor

Definitely not caused by Plasma; moving to KWin. But this might be a Firefox bug. Hopefully the KWin developers can tell us.

Can't reproduce. Do you run firefox with native wayland support?

weird, it seems to be fixed. But i did found the bug before.
