Description techxgames 2022-05-23 00:59:02 UTC
SUMMARY
My external display remains "connected" even when I unplug it. When I reconnect, the panels for my 2nd monitor don't appear.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Unplug the 2nd display
2. Plug back in

OBSERVED RESULT
I checked on the Display Configuration settings and when I unplug my monitor, I still see my external monitor remain connected. When I plug back in, I lose my panels.

EXPECTED RESULT
External display should be disconnected and shouldn't remain in Display Configuration settings
Panels for my 2nd display should reappear when connected.

Things should have improved substantially in Plasma 5.25 with a lot of work done for multimonitor use cases. Would you be able to test out the 5.25 beta, or the 5.25 final release in a month? Thanks!
