I wish there was a "snap to grid" feature when moving around widgets on the desktop's edit mode.

I primarily wanted to center a widget exactly in the center of my screen, but i found myself needing to just eyeball it because there is no button for this.

Perhaps there is already an option to enable this? But also maybe add an option to show the coordinates and size of the widget you are dragging around.

In fact widgets do snap to a grid.

Why exactly do you want it perfectly centered? What's the use case And what's wrong with eyeballing it?

Well I wanted to center a clock, I guess it's just more of a "I want this to be perfect" thing more than an actual practical thing.

And nevermind about the grid part

I understand the OCD instinct to want this, but I don't think it's something we can put resources into supporting, sorry. :)
