Just to be compulsive about the description - the showing or not of equities has nothing to do with whether they have been sold, but whether the account for that equity in that investment account is open or closed. That you expect them to be shown with the name crossed out shows that you have (at least in the past) set KMM to show closed accounts. In this case, I would check whether you have inadvertently turned off the "show closed accounts" setting. If you display the Accounts View, do any other closed accounts show up crossed out?
>If you display the Accounts View, do any other closed accounts show up crossed out? No. In Settings/Configure KMyMoney/General on the filter tab, if I uncheck "Do not show closed accounts", I get the desired info. EXCEPT That closed accounts with strikethrough font show up at the top of the home page. In my prior KMM (5.0.1?) these closed accounts were not visible in this particular view. On a summary view like that, this is what I want. Is there an option to hide closed accounts on the home page ONLY, but display them everywhere else for more detailed analysis and investigation? Hope this added clarification helps.
Minor point - you can quickly toggle the display of closed accounts with Ctl-Shift-A, so you do not need to open the settings dialog. It can also be changed under the View menu - Show all accounts. There were some changes (since 5.0.1 although I don't recall the exact version) to make things more consistent, and to consolidate two different settings which essentially controlled the same thing. I don't believe that they changed the actual behavior, but I may well be wrong. As far as I know, there is no way to get closed accounts shown in one display but not another. If you really want that option, you could convert this bug to a severity (the field next to Importance) of wishlist.
>you could convert this bug to a severity (the field next to Importance) of wishlist. Good idea. I have changed the title to reflect your suggestion. There is no severity field next to the importance field on this page although it was there at creation. Can you pull some strings in the background to make that great suggestion work? Thanks.
Changing to wishlist per discussion.
