Some files have a comment with `# vim:set ft=sh` or something else. If kate could also understand it then that would be nice.

Kate does not care about it

Kate should set the filetype accordingly

That is a nice idea but would require some mapping from vi types to our ones. I don't think we will have time to spend on that. We support our own modelines.
