PCMmanFM-qt --desktop won't expose menu to plasma global menu

If PCMmanFM-qt runs in --desktop mode in plasma no menu is being exposed to global menu.
How can this be fixed?

In PCMmanFM-qt itself. :) You'll need to report this to its developer.
