Discover is probably telling you the download size, not the final on-disk size. Let's make sure we're only using a Bugzilla ticket to report one issue, not multiple issues. We can use this for the thing about the sizes not matching. Can you please file a new bug report about the issue preventing you from using Discover to update?
I'm sorry we weren't able to look into this issue yet. A lot has changed since it was reported; can I ask you to see if this is still an issue with Plasma 6.4 or later? Thanks a lot!
