Missing activities

SUMMARY
I have 3 working activities and one stopped.
Yesterday I didn't modify anything in case of activities, even no moved any window from one to another activity. I think I had only update of KFrameworks.
Today I run my PC, logged into Plasma session and found that no activities in Activity Switcher, whereas all are present in System Settings: Workspace Behavior -> Activities (check attached screen) and are present title bar menu of any window , but missing in context menu of application icon placed in task bar.
Seems was loaded only recently opened activity ("default") and in panel/task bar I found all its linked windows plus one coming from other activity. Please consider in other activities I had also some windows I looked like that:
1. Default:
dolphin, konsole, 2 x Firefox, 2 x kwrite, okular, VMware Horizon Client, Tunderbird
2. Entertainment:
dolphin
3. Programming:
kdevelop, konsole, Firefox

Seems konsole coming from "Programming" activity was placed in "Default" activity.

Additionally please consider this is not first time I met mess in case of windows linked to activities, happened after turning on PC and log into Plasma session. In the past I found couple time that all windows just was opened in my recent working activity: "Default", and after that needed to move them manually again to proper activities. Described above issue happened first time.

I think this issue is not reproducible every time. I didn't test it yet.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.
2.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
Missing activities

EXPECTED RESULT
Activities should not disappear after restart of Plasma session (here: PC was turn off and on again)

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.94
Qt Version: 5.15.4

If they're not in the window decoration context menu, something in KWin may be confused; moving there.

BTW. The processes which I mentioned as present in other activities still working. I checked this by "System activity". I found kdevelop and dolphin, windows of second konsole I found in "Default" instead of "Programming".
I noticed that this is often happen after update of KFrameworks.

After killing Plasma session, and restart PC almost all back to normal.
One konsole window has checked "All Activities" in "Show in activities", instead of "Default"
One kwrite window has checked "All Activities" in "Show in activities", instead of "Default"
OKular window has checked "All Activities" in "Show in activities", instead of "Default"
VMware Horizon Client, (gtk app.) in "Pin to Task Manager" option has nothing checked, so was visible in every activity. I wanted to that application be pined only onto panel/task bar in "Default" activity, so I checked "Default". In result was also checked "On The Current Activity". I switched to second activity and icon was there, what I didn't expect. When I unchecked "On The Current Activity" again nothing was checked. Wired. I switched to second activity and here checked "Default". This time "On The Current Activity" wasn't checked, but when I back to "Default" I found that "On The Current Activity" is checked. I minimized application and again unchecked "On The Current Activity". This time after switching onto second activity icon disappeared from panel/taskbar I'm not sure, but it looks like something could be broken. I can raise new ticket if this is necessary.

I had same problem a week or two ago. All Activities settings were gone: no individual wallpapers, all apps in one default Activity and no possibility to switch between them, though they are were present in System Settings.

And the problem with apps unpredictably jumping from one activity to another after poweroff and poweron I have all the time.

It's a fresh installed Kubuntu 22.04.

They are in kwin, it's just plasmashell without.

I'm afraid Plasma 5.24.5 is unfortunately no longer eligible for support or maintenance from KDE.
Plasma is a fast-moving project, and bugs in one version are often fixed in the next one. Please update to Plasma 5.27.11 as soon as your distro offers it to you. If you need support for Plasma 5.24.5, please contact your distro, who bears the responsibility of providing support for older non-LTS releases.
If this issue is still reproducible in either Plasma 5.27.11 (the current LTS version) or Plasma 6.0.05 (the latest released version), feel free to re-open this bug report.
Thanks for understanding!
