SUMMARY
Dear digiKam developers

Since some days I started to work with digiKam 7.7.0 (snapshot 13.5.2022) on my Windows 10 system.
I have seen a small glitch with text "Exiftool" as caption of a tab inside metadata area.
Please see attached screenshot.

I think it is better to see not only parts of character E
Best regards

Hmm, the problem doesn't appear on Linux with any widget style. The only difference is that, unlike the other tab labels, we don't send the string "ExifTool" through the translation. In the source code, "// No i18n here." explicitly pointed out. But I can't imagine that's the reason either.

@herb

digiKam 8.0.0 is out. This entry still valid with this release ?

@herb,

This problem still reproducible with the new digiKam 8.2.0 pre-release Windows
installer available at usual place:

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

This new bundle is based on last Qt framework 5.15.11 and KDE framework 5.110.

Thanks in advance

digiKam 8.2.0 native Windows (MSVC+Qt6+KF6) preview

This problem is not reproducible with digiKam 8.2.0 compiled natively under Windows with VCPKG + MSVC compiler + Qt6 and KF6 frameworks.

I close this file now.
