Description Lastique 2022-05-14 14:16:18 UTC
SUMMARY

When a system monitor applet, such as Network speed monitor or CPU Usage, is placed on a horizontal panel, often there is no space to fit the text of the sensors with the default font size. The applet does not scale the font size to fit the text in the panel, and there is no way to manually configure font.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Add a Network speed monitor applet on a horizontal panel.
2. Make sure Download and Upload Rate are listed in Text-Only sensors.
3. Switch the applet to the Text Only mode.

OBSERVED RESULT

Some of the text does not fit on the panel (see screenshot).

EXPECTED RESULT

The font size should be scaled automatically, depending on the available space on the panel. Also, there should be a way to manually configure the font in the applet settings.

Yeah, this isn't ideal. It should auto-scale or lay itself out better.
