Hi Peter
could you please give info about version of your cryfs ? [ open terminal enter this command: cryfs --version ]
on my system it is 0.11.2 and i couldnt reproduce this bug
Comment 2 Peter Stolz 2022-05-07 05:19:41 UTC
Hi Ömer,

If I use command:
cryfs --version
I get this:
cryfs: symbol lookup error: cryfs: undefined symbol: _ZN6spdlog5sinks15basic_file_sinkISt5mutexEC1ERKNSt7__cxx1112basic_stringIcSt11char_traitsIcESaIcEEEb

Version of my cryfs: 0.11.2-1.2-x86_64 from vendor openSUSE

Peter

Hello again Peter and good morning (in here it is 8:20 am ) ,
this shows that bug is not related to kde, but cryfs package in opensuse Tumbleweed
so i suggest you to open a bug report in opensuse about this , hope that it will be fixed whenever they ship a correctly linked build with next update
[you dont need to mention about kde or this screenshot which you send here , just give the error whenever you give cryfs --version command gives to them ]

Omer, thanks for triaging this!

Peter, you can also try to compile cryfs from scratch. These issues usually happen when incompatible versions of some library are used.

I marked this as a downstream issue.

I would like to add downstream bug report created by Peter Stolz for opensuse users whom might hit this/similar bug
