I always proxy my video footage before start editing. When I play the video in Clip Monitor, I find no issues. But as soon as I add it into the project sequence and play/preview, it will start chopping (15 frames) in the Project Monitor. Please resolve this in the next update. Footage : 4K Using Proxy : Yes Project Resolution : 4K UHD 2160p
Please make following test: switch "Track Composition" from "High Quality" to "none" (https://docs.kdenlive.org/de/cutting_and_assembling/editing.html?highlight=high%20quality#timeline-toolbar). Does the playback fps rise?

Superb. It works really well. PLEASE MAKE THIS SETTING AS DEFAULT for preview in the next update.

But do I need to switch from None to High Quality every time before render? I mean, will this action affect my final output if I forget to switch it back to High Quality?
If you have no clip or title with alpha channel on another track in your timeline, yes you can render with "none". If you have clips, title or composition containing alpha channel on another track you have to switch to "High Quality" otherwise you get just a black background where alpha makes it transparent. In general, playback with "High Quality" is a performance issue on both side Kdenlive and your PC.
Created attachment 148685 [details] attachment-30134-0.html Okay. I need to playback with "none" option. And before rendering, I need to switch back to "High Quality". Am I right? Can I set this in settings as follows? None - For playback and High quality - For Render. It will be effortless and easy to use kdenlive.
