SUMMARY This is a problem I have on my system for some time, where the first login after boot has mismatched desktop and display area, making interaction with the desktop very difficult. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. I have no idea how to reproduce it outside of my PC. For me it happens every time after the first login after reboot. OBSERVED RESULT Mismatched desktop and display area. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux, debian testing KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION If that's relevant, I'm using proprietary nvidia drivers.
Are you using X11 or Wayland?

1. Does it work on Wayland? 2. Have you forced Plasma to use Qt scaling? What does `env | grep PLASMA_USE_QT_SCALING` say?
