Just upgraded Ubuntu 21.10 to 22.04. All packages up to date. System info: Operating System: Kubuntu 22.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Kernel Version: 5.15.0-27-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i3-6006U CPU @ 2.00GHz Memory: 3.7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 520 I cannot activate Overview with either the Meta key alone or Meta+W. I went to the settings to set the hotkey for the overview effect - I knew how to do it because I had just done it on my desktop computer with the same software setup (but very different hardware) However there's no "overview" anywhere in the shortcut list. Not in Kwin, not searching for it, not in Portuguese, not in English, nothing. It's as if the feature didn't exist. I google it and only found this: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1391793/kde-5-24-overview-launch-key I used the commands in the accepted answer, which are as follows: kwriteconfig5 --file kwinrc --group ModifierOnlyShortcuts --key Meta "org.kde.kglobalaccel,/component/kwin,,invokeShortcut,Overview" qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin reconfigure Still nothing happens The Meta key itself is functional, I tested, so it's not a hardware issue. Not to make this a messy bug but might be useful info, I don't know: I also noticed Alt+F2 is not running krunner despite this being in the settings (alt+space is able to do it though).
I also installed Wayland; it's so much faster, but unfortunately still no way to set the Overview shortcup up
Have you enabled the effect in System Settings > Workspace Behavior > Desktop effects? It's still a public beta and that's why it's not enabled by default yet.

I had no idea I had to enable it (I didn't have to do in the desktop PC) and it's... kind of baffling that it's considered a beta thing since it took such a centre stage at the announcement of the latest version. But it totally worked, sorry for the bug report, I'm attempting to mark it as "resolved" and "not a bug" here in the tracker
OK cool. :) It will be enabled by default in 5.25.
