SUMMARY
I am using plasma with Wayland and I found out that custom hotkeys for keyboard input cause a minor crash and do not work.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to “Custom shortcuts” in system settings
2. Right Click (on folder or specified place on the left) → New → Global Shortcut → Send Keyboard Input
3. Set your trigger hotkey
4. Set your action (what you want it to write). I wanted it to write grave accent character (ASCII=96).
5. Press your hotkey combination and wait for the notification and observe the system tray.

OBSERVED RESULT
Doesn't write word/character, 3rd party apps in system tray disappear and reappear, and sometimes you get a crash report dialog.
