Description Vaibhav Dhotre 2022-04-24 18:13:53 UTC
Proxy video playback started shuttering for 15 frames when I hit play button in the project sequence preview window.

It shows noticeable difference for playback when I started using proxy files, but still 15 frames are shuttering when I click the play button.

***
Note: No problem with other Non-Linear Video Editing software like Adobe's Premiere Pro.
***

OBSERVED RESULT
I was having doubt that this may be happening due to my Intel i3 system.
But when checked with other video editing software, I found no issues with choppiness in the playback.

EXPECTED RESULT
Video should be played smooth while playback using proxy files.

With the upcoming version 22.04 playback is optimized. Please test when version 22.04 is available.

Really appreciate to the developers. Here is my experience.

1. For proxies of 1080p footage : Choppiness reduced from 15 frames to 4 frames.
2. For proxies of 4K footage : Not experienced any improvement.

Can you check with 22.12 that came out today and see whether choppy playback for proxied 4k sources still exists?
