SUMMARY

This is standard in most code editors, thus it is expected behavior.
It is especially useful when scrolling, selecting portion of code and then going back to previous editing point.

This feature was merged yesterday by Philip Gisslow and will become available to the public when Kate version 22.08 is released.

Settings->Behaviour->Mouse
